..sometimes it is not a good thing.

I realize things are tough here in MI, but come on now. My family was on nice little (much needed) vacation. Oil was there when I left. So I checked it this morning, and most of it is gone. (out of our storage closet)

Gone is 3 5qt jugs on PP 5w30, and the quarts of Napa syn that were next to it. (about 5 qts). Surprisenly, they missed the case and a half of Napa syn I had in a diaper boxes. And it's not like my oil was in plain view or anything (just on floor)
And the took just the oil, and a bottle of washer fluid, and nothing else. (though anything decent is locked away..). Just very sad.....maybe it will go to good use?

Surely you are not accusing one of us! Then again, I suppose the pool of suspects *is* rather limited.

I would like to state, categorically, that I don't use PP.

We can, perhaps, infer that the perpetrator does not have young children at home. ;-)

Why suspect the family? I was thinking the butler did it.

Seriously - someone entered the premises and purloined motor oil and squirter fluid?

Reminds me of Mrs. Naugatuck's (the housekeeper's) first episode on Maude. She mentioned to Maude that she'd found a jar in the bathroom that was just "full of old dust", so she flushed it. Maude stared at her for a moment and said, in that dry, very dry, tone that only Bea Arthur could muster "That was my second husband".

The OP neglected to mention that he is the current owner of Herbie the Love Bug. ;-)

a few buildings down another guy got hit-they stole his case of royal purple.

I guess the theives have taste...

Sadly, no. They really took some of my oil.

The guys were just trying to cheer me up...I think.
