This is the description for the part on RockAuto:

01 Sentra SE

TIMKEN Part # HA590110 Ball Bearing; 4.5 in. Bolt Circle Diam; 5.827 in. Flange Diameter; 66.01 mm Wheel Pilot Diam
FWD; 4-Wheel ABS; Tone ring not re-usable, dealer only item.; Rear

On Partsgeek:

For the SKF part they have so many different listings, but all with the same part number even if it's ABS or not or even for the GXE's, etc...

So, my questions:

-I'm guessing the parts are all compatible? I'm kinda confused, Partsgeek has a note saying Nissan says the part is no longer available and gives alternative part numbers. Maybe Timken just sells one part with the ABS parts even if you don't need them?

-Any other parts usually need replacing along with this? I see dust caps on parts geek. I asked the mechanic and he didn't say anything about any extra parts. I mentioned I read about a dust shield and he said they were probably talking about the backing plates. This cap looks different.

-On this page:

What is the differential bearing? I just had an entire drive axle replaced because they said the carrier bearing on it can't be replaced seperately and every place I called said there's no seperate part for it. So what is that bearing? Is it for the rear?

Thanks!

Hi.

1.) If the part number is the same, you should be ok.

2.) A differential bearing is...for your differential. I believe the Sentra is FF layout with FWD. There should be no differential bearing for the rear because you do not have a 4WD, AWD, or RWD vehicle.

Well, for the SKF part it looks like all the numbers are the same. For the Timken part, which I'm most likely to order because I've dealt with RockAuto before, it's the only Timken part they have and it says with ABS. Not sure if that's ok for a non ABS car.

About the bearing. Is it for the differential in the transmission or the drive axle? When I ordered the axle I had to make sure I got one for a car with a differential. However, I was told that the bearing couldn't be replaced on the axle, but that may be a different kind of bearing. They called it a support/carrier bearing.

Thanks!

Anybody?

I really need to know to get this ordered today so it ships out on Monday.

Not sure if I can use that Timken part w/abs or which SKF part would be the right one as on some of the descriptions it doesn't list the SE and only says the production date of the car.

Also, should I get the dust cap as well?

Just did some more searching. Am I supposed to put new wheel studs in to or are the old ones ok?

Thanks

Go for it. Get the ABS one.

The only consideration is if something on the ABS part (ie teeth) takes up more space than the non-abs.

But your spindle should be cut out to make room, and probably has holes drilled for the sensor, which you don't have.

From a service perspective, they only want to have one part on the shelf, and the nickel saved in machining costs on the OE part isn't worth setting up a whole another part number.

When I've bought wheel bearing assemblies they came with studs. I've also (carefully) pounded out and reused a stud when I was desperate and in the middle of putting snow tires on.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of places are just stocking it with the tone ring included. Confusing though because some places have the same exact part number and some say with ABS and others without.

None seem to imply they come with the studs though. Should I expect that I'll get them included? I don't think RockAuto even has a listing for them, but some sites did.

Even weirder was I looked up the Napa part because I know there's is SKF. I googled that number and there was a ling to RockAuto, but no way to find it otherwise and it didn't even list what car it was for. It said it was for ABS while Napa said it was not.

I vaguely remember going through this with part numbers getting a hub/bearing assy for my silhouette. Wound up getting one off ebay from "Detroit Axle" and it shipped from "Dearborn Axle" (close

Supertech oil filters have fram part numbers but aren't made by fram. It could be one of those deals where some middleman finds it easier to demand numbering like one of the big boys for his own internal warehouse organization.

I just replaced the rear hubs on a mitsubishi made chrysler sebring. I had the same issue that you have. It turns out the I have a non abs system and the knuckle part# was the same for both abs and non abs. I got the abs hubs and there was plenty of room inside the non abs knuckle for the abs sprocket/fins.

In other words, for my application I could use the abs hubs in a non abs system.
