" They can't fix yer brakes
You ask 'em " Where's my motor ? "
" Well it was eaten by snakes...
You can stab 'n' shoot 'n' spit
But they won't be fixin' it "

Plus ...

" I'm a moron 'n' this is my wife
She's frosting a cake
With a paper knife
All what we got here's
Americam made
It's a little bit cheesey ,
But it's nicely displayed
Well we don't get excited when it
Crumbles 'n' breaks
We just get on the phone
And call up some flakes "

" Flakes " by Frank Zappa from Sheik Yerbouti

Pretty woman don't walk on by

Pretty woman don't make me cry,

Pretty woman don't walk away, hey ok

If that's the way it must be, ok

I guess I'll go home,its late

There'll tomorrow night, but wait..

What do I see..

She's walking back to me

Oh, oh, pretty woman

Rolling Stones - Memory Motel - the entire song lyrics are incredible.

I have old pictures of myself and family in front of that very place!

I used to hang out in Montauk for most of the summer in the past, but sadly no more.

My step-dad had a house on Culloden Point, around the corner from Gossman's Dock.

"We watched our friends grow up together
And we saw them as they fell
Some of them fell into Heaven
Some of them fell into [censored]"

The Pogues "Rainy night in Soho"

"We're trapped off in this world and society with no place else to go
So how you feel?
Frustrated, irritated, sometimes I don't know myself I be too numb
To feel something sometimes so I dig deep, get in the Cherokee
Let my mind fly free into the wilderness so I can get this **** off my mind
That's why I be smokin' that dank sometimes" - from Thought Process by Goodie Mob

"Now, pimpin' ain't easy but it's necessary
So I'm chasin' ******* like Tom chased Jerry
I put the pedal to the floor in my two tone Ford Explorer
You know how it's done..." - from Down for Whatever by Ice Cube

Rappers had better taste in vehicles back in the '90s.

How about sticking to a single LINE as suggested in the title and not paste the whole lyrics to the song? how is anyone supposed to know what SINGLE LINE is one's favorite line?

If Heaven and [censored] decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

-Death Cab for Cutie

there are many, but I always find myself absentmindedly humming this one:

"...you will survive being bested, somebody fine will come along and make me forget about loving you...and the Southern Cross"

Southern Cross, CS&N

My fav song, my favorite line is And we never failed to fail, it was the the easiest thing to do.

"Now I ain't never seen no saucers, 'cept the ones up on the shelf, and if I ever seen one, I'd keep it to myself." 'Linda Goes to Mars' John Prine.

"Well weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air

Sunlight on chrome
The Blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware"!

RUSH - "Red Barchetta

my wife reminded me of this one that we both like a lot:

"...If you smile at me, I will understand, 'Cause that is something everybody everywhere does in the same language..."

Wooden Ships - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

Cheezy as heck, but I still love this song and line:

"Parents caught you smokin', and they said NO WAY;
Dad the hypocrite smokes TWO PACKS A DAY"
Beastie Boys

One I'm listening to lately;

"Sometimes I see my memories like a film that never stops, although I know how it ends, still I can't help but watch" - from 'A Break In The Clouds' by The Jayhawks from the album 'Smile'

"She handed me a heart-shaped locket that said
"'To thine own self be true,'
"And I shivered as I watched a roach crawl across
"The toe of my high-heeled shoe."
(Bobbie Gentry, "Fancy" -- recently redone by Reba McIntire)
*
"Passin' trains that have no names,
"Freight yards full of old black men
"And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles."
(Steve Goodman, "The City of New Orleans," as performed by Arlo Guthrie)
*
"Did you ever see a robin weep,
"When leaves began to die?
"That means he's lost the will to live,
"I'm so lonesome I could cry."
(Hank Williams Sr., "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry")
*
"You say you haven’t been the same since you had your little crash,
"But you might feel better if I gave you some cash!"
(Eagles, "Get Over It")

I used to roll up, this is a hold up, ain’t nuthin funny
Stop smiling, be still, don’t nuthin move but the money

- Paid in Full, Eric B. & Rakim
