I bought all of this oil except for the GC either on clearance for less than $2.00/qt, or FAR or cheap after MIR.

Walmart has my oil stash. I bring it home a week or two before a planned oil change.

I do order about one years supply of stuff from Amsoil at a time. ATF, gear oil, PSF and 4-Stroke oil for OPE.

.75 quarts of QSUD. I bought two 5-quart oil change specials from AZ. The Maxima takes 4.25 quarts, the Saturn takes 4. When the Saturn burns through the extra 1.75 quarts it's time to change both cars again.

I will agree buying over a hundred quarts of various types of oils and fluids to line your shelves to essentially run a commercial oil change operation from your garage is getting pretty [censored] excessive and probably bordering on some form of hoarding disorder.

Except for Canadians

Synthetic in the U.S.: $20-$25
Synthetic in Canada: $50

All my oil except the TGMO and VWB is from the US. No weird looks from border guards when I come back here. All they want is their share of the taxes which I happily pay!

FAR oil is good oil and I have a large garage.
I also have five cars to maintain, two of which require adds during a typical OCI.

Same here, I have 5 vehicles to look after. A large stash makes sense because:

a) the cost savings of DIY oil changes vs shop/dealership adds up real quickly (I save over $400 per year DIY over someone else doing it for me)
b) the savings buying oil in the US vs Canada.
c) saves time - oil change on my schedule. I budget an hour vs half a day for someone else to do it (and no, I will not take it to some quick lube place)

If A&E wants to use me in their next episode of "Hoarders", I would be happy to participate

I stash oil because I buy mine on severe discounts or participate in FAR oil.
Just a little reminder here that when using oil that's been on the shelf for a year or so is to give it a good shake before putting it in the engine/transmission. A few months ago, I changed transmission oil in my '71 Cougar that takes a type "F" and I had several quarts of SuperTech, in their dark blue bottle, put in. I opened up a case of Pennzoil type "F" to complete the fill and I noticed that there were some deposits in the bottom of the quart container, easily to see because of the bright yellow bottle. I took a flashlight and shined in the SuperTech bottles and deposits were in those bottles also. I put a couple of ounces of oil back in each empty bottle and shook it up real good to break up the deposits and then poured it into the fill tube. I know that this was type "F", a real slow mover, and it could have been sitting on the shelf for years, but some of you guys who have a large stash of oil (myself included) probably won't be using it for years. I now make it a practice to pour out most of the oil out of the quart container, reclose it, and then give it a good shake, and then finish pouring it out. I paid for the oil additives and I want to make sure that my engine gets to use them.

OK. So long as we are talking about OCI and not OCD. I would be kind of bummed if I stocked up on a bunch of SM oil and then they upgraded to SN.
