Something tells me that HK will be looking for a new ad agency--and perhaps some new personnel in whatever department actually allowed this to get into print!

It's H+K's new genius marketing strategy. Their pistols are so reliable and user friendly that you don't need to load the clip correctly!

Can you imagine the typical adguy (or gal) staging this photo? It's probably a miracle no one got killed.

I wonder if it is. The difference in angle on the top and second rounds look kind of photo shoppish.

It would be poor design on their part if you could. People do all sorts of dumb things with weapons when under a lot stress.

The classic one is Civil War rifles found on the battle field with as many as three balls and loads of powder stufed in them.

I guess if you averaged that out with the number of soldiers that loaded the powder and wad and forgot to load the ball, it would average out about right. that's where the phrase "to shoot your wad" came from.

Photo manipulation? Enlighten us.

Gee, I didn't say you monkeyed around with the picture, did I? Your picture simply looks like it's been worked on. The gun and the mag dont even appear to have been shot at the same time but composited later. Apart from being inserted the wrong way, the two visible rounds appear to be not even parallel to each other, which should be impossible. Your image looks like a sloppily made layout to be shown to an editor. It would be interesting to know the source.

PS: Pablo, my browswr and my dialup connection went simulataneously ballistic. Caffeine is not to be blamed!

I don't know why anyone would go to all of the trouble to fake something like this.

5 minutes is hardly trouble. Could be a joke or the source was a sloppy mockup for the cover; something to show the editor for layout purposes. Personally, I think it was created as a joke.

Oh, and feel free to link my picture over there, if you want.

Reminds me of the 80's when CD players in print ads always had the disc upside down in the loading tray.

Next time you look at a box of ice cream cones note the "ice cream" they use for photography-- looks a lot like mashed potatoes.

"No Compromise" is gramatically akward as well. "Without compromise" or "No compromises" would work better.

fuel tanker man, I've noticed Bill is playing coy and won't tell you where he got that picture.

Seeing is believing -- or is it?

Typical Internet stuff. Neither HK nor the printer/publisher would have ever done this.

Another good hoax.
