it jumped to $3.45 for regular yesterday/evening. Im told its due to our annual fall festival "Covered Bridge" and there are venders from everywhere that come to sell at the festivals.. every station withing 20 miles has jumped up in price.. I think thats gouging.. 2 cents.

OtisBlkR1,

In my hood the notorious Shell station is still $5.09/regular but the Arco station on the other main street is a nice $3.89/regular.

Once again I can't fault the Shell cuz people still buy it because they advertise it's "Nitrogen" entiched! What a joke to say the least.

Sorry my pockets aren't that deep. It's Arco for me.

Everything here jumped to $3.49 for 87. Caught a lone Shell station at $3.35 and filled up. With my PNC credit card rebate of 4%, it made it $3.21.

Durango, sounds like you need a new hood.

Regular 87 jumped up 10 to 15 cents a gallon around here 2 days ago. Racetrac is $3.25, Marathon is $3.29. Still there now too according to gas buddy. Must have something to do with the goings-on in DC. I think yesterday's "agreement" will now cause Wall Street to jack prices up on everything and gas will be the first thing to head back up in price.

Tdbo,

I need allot of things but I must admit I love my area and don't mind filling up at the local Arco. I feel there gas has been fine and don't want to open up another can of worms regarding the quality of Arco. The Shell gas owner is just gouging the consumer.

Gas Buddy determines where and from who I buy gas. It is probably the most frequently used app on my iphone. My only criteria for a gas station is clean and high volume (and maybe, well lit if I am buying at night.) In 35 years of owning 22 different cars, I have only had one fuel related issue. Therefore, names do not impress me.

Even though I understand that some people don't care, never look at prices and merely focus on convenience, I still find it difficult to believe that a business can present that large of a price gap on a commodity, and stay in business. We have a Marathon here locally that ranges anywhere from 20-60 cents/gallon more than a Meijer across the street and still stays in business. On that, I scratch my head.

Had to laugh. Driving down King Ave in Columbus yesterday, and a Circle K had RUG for $289.9 and the UDF slightly down the street was matching it. Of course, I stopped and filled up. The Circle K says that they will hold the price through today, it is a Grand Opening special. Anyone in the area should take advantage while it lsat (cheapest RUG is around $3.45ish in the area.)

New Orleans: The local Walmart extorts 3.23 for regular ethanol-laced, while my E0 station holds us up for 3.33. Chevron is about the same for their E10.

That's the West Bank of the river, where I live and occasionally shop. The East Bank tends to be .05-.10 higher.

We're getting so ripped off where we live; Templeton, CA, the Central Coast Wine Country.

Chevron self serve regular = $4.49, supreme $4.69.

Cheapest Chevron in the area is in northern Paso Robles, $4.59 there for supreme.

California's ultra-low sulphur (Euro-spec), max 8% ethanol gas simply costs more than the 49 state swill. But IMO it's more associated with demographics. They charge more where people are able to pay more.

That's nothing.... $5.64 self serve regular $6.20 for premium.

Welcome to Canada.
