I bought a suction gun at autozone, but this thing sU#Ks cuz it holds 16oz, the suction power is poor, and as soon as u stop pulling on the handle the fluid starts to leak back out again... argh i just wasted $8

Depending on how the differential fill hole is located, some tools are better than others. At Kragen I seen two pumps that you screw on top of the quart or gallon jugs. It works like those hand soap pumps. They should work fine. Gear oil is thick so suction is slow plug plus I think for suction you have to start at a higher level to lower level. If you go from low to high it is not going to work.

I got a suction gun from advance, and its no good either. I just ended up using the bottle the fluid came in. I practically squeezed them flat toget them empty. Adding a section of tubing to the end of the bottle would probably work well.
For the trans on my car I used a funnel with a long tube.. Just depends on what vehicle it is.

If you can reach the fill port with a foot or two of tubing in such a way that the oil bottle is higer than the fill port, just shove a pc of clear tubing over the gear oil spout and squeeze away.

I just use the bottle that it comes in, with the nozzle cap. But there might be more room under my vehicle, as I slide a 5 gal bucket under it change the oil :^)

Doing a diff is going to be messy... you fill and fill until it dribbles out.

If youre picking the vehicle up a bit, or have lots of clearance, then either using a 'squeeze top' which is a point with a hole in the end, as is found on most diff fluid bottles is the easy way to go, and nothing is needed. if your lube bottles dont come with said pump, and you have clearance, than a 'soap pump' type unit is the best.

For on the ground installation, with little clearance, I have found that nothing beats the tubular 'suction gun' where you pull the plunger and then force the fluid out the plastic tube. Yes, its a bit more difficult, you need to be more deliberate in your motions and watch the orientation of the tube end... but IMO its the easiest way to go. Dont fill it all the way.

I used a mobile 1 gear oil bottle filled with amsoil series 2000 75w-90. Just have to keep the bottle pretty full or it won't squeeze out. Used one of those plastic siphon pumps with the orange squeeze bulb, they seem to work allright too.
