I am now running stock Michelin MXV4 S8 v-rated,
they are not to good at all ,hard ride ,slippery in wet
and noisy .
Looking for some reasonably priced tire with good ride characteristics for Honda Accord 2003 V6.
Any suggestions will be appreciated .

I have Pirelli P4 Four Seasons and they are pretty good except for noise. If you can live with some noise they meet all your other criteria.

You can't go wrong with one of these Standard Touring All-Season tires: General Altimax RT, Kumho Solus KR21, Yokohama AVID TRZ. If your driving condition includes snow and/or ice then the later two are better choices. The price of all 3 are reasonable and the ride and noise are rated very good.

You could try General Altimax, Conti Extremes. Both should be good in wet. If you can go with a higher price, Eagle Response or Eagle GT. You should maybe post a short list in your size with prices and we can take a look at them.

I will second the vote for Yokohama Avid TRZ as a top choice for rain/snow. They are nearly the top rated tire on Tire Racks owners survey in the above categories. I have a set on a Lumina Minivan, they are much better in the rain than any previous tire that I have used.
I am pulling a VERY heavy (4,880 lb) boat up wet ramps 4 nights a week, same boat, same ramp much of the time. They clearly outpull any Michelin or General that I have had, and the Bridgestones that I have had were nearly worthless in the wet.

If you're not looking for a performance tire, I'd suggest the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred. Soft, quiet, and good when things are wet.

Plus, they are rated highly at TireRack. "A quiet, comfortable tire that lives up to its name".

Without a doubt, Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season or GSD3. Expensive but worth the money. I got 45k out of my GSD3's. Smoothest tire I've ever had.

Went from MXV4 to Yoko AVD and they were night and day. The yokos kept a balance so much longer too. They were just better in every way and much cheaper from Tirerack. Very good tire IMHO so I think im 4th to recommend them.

Got ride of the Michs on my 04 Accord EX and went to Yokohama Avid V4S. I wish I had done it the day I bought the car.....they are that much better in every respect. With the change over I felt as if I had changed cars, SO much quieter!

Funny,I had a set of the F1 A/S and found them to be incredibly rough and extremely loud.

The Avid TRZs have impressed me under my Corolla. Wet handling is near as good as dry handling, and hydroplaning is not an issue. Of course, tread depth is still like new, but I'm impressed nonetheless. My other favorite is the Michelin X Radial.

But if you have an Accord that came with the Energy MXV4 S8s, your car likely requires a V-rated tire...and unfortunately neither the TRZ nor X Radial are available in a V-rated version.

I have a new set of General Altimax HP on an 05 Camry XLE.They have an "H" speed rating.
Very smooth ride, excellent in the rain, pretty quiet (little noise on slick concrete paving).
Handing is good to excellent on a Toyota Camry. They will handle about all a Camry suspension will take.
Your Honda will handle curves very good (a lot better than the Camry – my opinion) for a front wheel drive car. You may want something with a little more performance for a Honda Accord.
If Ride and Wet Handing are your Top Priority I think you would like the Altimax HP’s.
I got a set for $400 dollars cheaper than Micheln Primacy MXV4 would have been.

I picked up a set of primacy mxv4's about 4 months ago. VERY nice tire. Theyre top rated on the tirerack site. Their on my RSX, so I was picky about the performance, and they work really well. Far better than the stock mxm4's. The TRZ's are another favorite on the honda and Acura sites for a great all season, although I dont have any experience with them. If the price was right, I'd try them for sure.

8k on General Altimax HPs that I bought for the exact reasons you said. Got a "deal" too good to pass up, or I would have bought the Avids.
