What to do?

I just purchase used Suzuki LT 125 quad 1985. When I tried to start it gas was pouring from carburetor. Had to clean this thing, it had some clear sticky coating in it. After some good cleaning it start to work. Engine runs strong and do not burn oil and it does not smoke. From what I can see it was not running for about 2 years. It has 1000 miles on it. Now question is: what to do with oil. Just change to new one or add something to clean motor up? Thank you

I would run it for a few hours and change the oil.
Run again a few hours and change it. After that change the oil every 20 to 30 hours of ride time or so.
Some will say longer some will say sooner than that. You will have figure when to change by were you ride and the conditions. Keep the air filter clean and you should have no problems. I would use 15w40 Rotella or Delo 400 oil in the engine.

I would just drive it and have fun. Not much idling.
