What product for rusty fuel filter threads?

Im sure this was said, but im not ambitious enough to read all the posts. WD40 is not a penetrating oil and IIRC, WD means water displacing. Other than mildly rust proofing things, I really see no use for it. I heard that it has fish oil in it and that it is good at attracting fish when applied to worms.

PB blaster is what I would use. Soak it then let it sit for a few days and come back to it. It'll come right out.

I agree with the PB Blaster suggestions. Hit it a couple days ahead of time, and tap it with a hammer to get some micro fissures going. Just be sure to twist the filter and not the fuel line when loosening..

I already had the plastic clamp and rubber line off and on the new filter and also had the bracket out with no oil but it was stubborn. Looking back that would be a good idea for the bracket.

I got some PB blaster from AZ and a 20mm wrench. I don't have any flare nut wrenches but I do have open end ones and vice grips for the line nut. Hopefully I can give it another go on Sunday.

Is the fuel pump fuse plus running til stall the best way to relieve pressure? Last time is still sprayed when I disconnected the quick connect with residual pressure and dripped for a long time.
