we all experiment, what do ur cars like best?

hyundai likes only pennzoil and valvoline. nothing else.

prius likes mobil 1 and valvoline. hates pennzoil, puts up with quaker state. both cars dont like the economy mobil lines.

My one car gets Pennzoil Plantium 10W30 or Mobil 1 10W30, the other gets either Mobil 1 5W20 or Mobil 1 High Milage 10W40. This whether they like it or not. So far neither have complained.

Depends on which car-the cobalt likes Napa syn...but pretty happy with most...

My car has a gas problem, not an oil one. It makes a huge stink about getting kroger gas....

new hyundai santa fe's dealer anything they use 10 yr 100,000 mile warranty (we dont keep them that long)

2004 grand marquis 5 qts of 5w20 and 1 quart of 5w30 qsud, motorcraft oil filter

All other vehicles use the bulk oil i have at the shop either conoco or mobil

Kitacam got Shell 5w30 dino for 97k miles courtesy of Curly, Moe and Larry, and the dealer pumped her full of PYB before parking her on the sales lot...it ran very smoothly....then, 3k later, I switched to PP/5w30 it has thanked me by running even MORE smoothly

...so I got her a couple more jugs, and she's good for the next couple of years

Mobil Super and Mobil Super HM run exceptionally smoothly in anything I put them in.
My XJ loved Peak 10w30 conventional.

My vehicles don't care what oil is in them, as long as it meets the viscosity needs. I've never noticed a bit of difference in the conventional oils that I've used.

Now my wallet likes the brand name oil that's on sale when it's time to change the oil.

All 4 of our vehicles seem to like QS oils(1-QSUD, 1-DEFY, 2-QSGB). I can't argue with the extra quietness of these oils. Other than the noise reduction, I DON'T really notice anything else such as better MPG or Performance. But, the engines all seem smoother/quieter!

I have also noticed this with PEAK 5W30 and even some store brand oils such as ST, AAP, ProLine, Spectrum(Sears)

My neighbor hides his oil in a brown paper bag , that way his truck can't see the label.
Seems to work too , it doesn't use any oil.

They will take what i give them and like it! LOL
Honestly it doesn't make a hill of beans. I use to think some oil was louder than others but given they are the same viscosity i now believe its all mental.

I try the blind test on my wife sometimes, change the oil to another brand and she doesn't hear or feel the difference. She hears everything with the car, even stuff i ignore bothers her.

My 2008 Corolla 1ZZFE seems to really like it's current fill of Mobil 1 (3.5 qts. of 0w20 and 1 quart of 0w30) which I ran all winter. I was expecting some loudness as it's never had 20 weight before...but it's actually very quiet and smooth.
