What oil to use in L67 GM 3800 Supercharged Engine

My 2004 Monte Carlo SS(Dale Jr Supercharged) specifies 5W-30 on the oil cap and in the owner's manual.

Back in 98 my ex-wife and I bought a new Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3800 and it specified 10W-30.

Boss302fan is correct, the oil viscosity specification for this engine changed in 2004.

I've run both 5W-30 Valvoline and Pennzoil conventional in this car with no problems and I think the original owner ran Quaker State conventional in it.
