(I know....I know.....Vintage is to late for that to be factory installed. But it would be cool!)
The last year for the 440-6 was 1971, and it was never available on the base model Satellites. Satellites typically came with slant 6's and 318's, and a small % with the 383-2v/4v. In their last few years 360ci engines may have been an option, but I don't think so. Chargers, GTX's, RR's, SuperBee's, and Coronet R/T's could get the 440-6 and 426 hemi engines. Satellites in 1966-1967 could option up to a 383 or even the 426-6v hemi...but never the 440. Those were business cars. Satellites saw a lot of police duty though and usually got a 383/4v - 330 hp engine up to 1971.
4 door Satellites are not all that in demand in the Mopar world. Having a 383-2v/4v engine would help though. Grandma and Grandpa typically own these cars so they have survived. Same for those 1971-1976 Dodge Darts and Plymouth Dusters/Scamps. The Magnum 500 road wheels were made popular on all the high HP muscle Dodge and Plymouths from 1968-1971. Even low mileage 4 dr. satellites with typical engines aren't typically worth more than $3K-$5K. They make nice daily drivers or backup cars though. Nice for cruising to shows and car cruises. A 1970 Satellite is an even more popular body style. I remember seeing a local white/blue car with 318 and only 44K miles a few years back. I could have bought that car for $4K.
