In a lot of the cases I owned 2 of these cars at the same time, and at one point I had 3 at the same time (the 87 GT, 95 Trans Am and the Taurus) For most of my driving "career" I would have one car as a daily driver and one car as a fun car that didn't see rain very often and would never see snow. So it was very difficult for me to have driven my Corvette through seven winters here and using it as my daily driver, and I'm much happier having it as the "fun car" now and keeping it out of the elements and out of the daily grind.

I still have never owned a new car. Many of my cars were over 10 years old when I bought them. I worked for a used car lot for awhile and bought a lot of garbage:

1974 Celica
1979 Mustang Turbo (dead)

1974 260Z
1965 Chevrolet Impala
1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z C/S

1984 Firebird LG4
1991 Hyundai Scoupe
1974 Fiat X1/9 (no reverse)
1982 Bertone X1/9 (destroyed transmission)
1979 Fiat Strada (bought for transmission for '82 X1/9)
1976 Alfa Romeo Spyder (never ran. Spica injection)
1976 Jaguar XJ6 (with poorly done Chevy conversion)
1986 Toyota Tercel 4X4 Wagon (not really mine. Company car, but I treated it like it was mine)
1974 Triumph Spitfire 1500
1968 Volkswagen Beetle (fire)
1974 Volkswagen SuperBeetle. (nudged a parking curb and bent the strut-rod and frame back a couple of mms causing a right pull)
1976 Mustang II with a 351M/400 that was completely undriveable. Not from the power but from the proximety of the brake master cylinder to the exhaust manifold.
1991 Suzuki Swift
1996 Chrysler Sebring Convertible

1991 Civic LX sedan
1994 Civic EX sedan

If I could have any of them back again, I would choose the Impala, Daytona, Sebring Convertible, and Triumph Spitfire. In that order
