If you're going to stick with a conventional 10w30, Rotella 10w30 is probably your best choice.

If I were you, I'd run Rotella T 5w40.

To me, the best bang for the buck are any of the oils from Conoco-Phillips. Kendall (see your local Firestone Store), Trop Artic, or Motorcraft. Synthetic blends at a straight dino price. Great UOA's.

Nothing wrong with MC oils; but since you are running the oil in a turbo, most (including my hypocritical self) will tell you that you should use a synthetic, which MC 10w30 is not.

Will MC 10w30 be OK in your car? Probably

Is it the "best" choice? No

What is the "best" oil for your car? Any API SL or SM rated synthetic 0w30, 5w30, 0w40 or 5w40, IMHO.

I agree the HDEO 10w30 would be best, but very hard to find. Murrays by me has 10w30 HDMO Motorcraft in quarts. Alternativeto HDMO is Valvoline VR1 10w30, if you can find it, as it has HDMO levels of zddp. You will find VR1 but maybe not the 10w30, though those stores probably could/would order it for you.

A Turbo set-up is one of the very few applications that I feel warrant a synthetic. At the very least a blend like MC would suffice, but I would look at an inexpensive full syn.

I am considering the Motorcraft 10w30 synthetic blend because the website says: "Motorcraft® SAE 10W-30 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil is recommended for use in current and older domestic and import passenger cars, SUV’s, light-duty trucks, minivans and with normally aspirated, turbocharged and supercharged gasoline engines" See....http://www.fcsdchemicalsandlubricants.com/dealer/product.asp?product=SAE%2010W-30%20Premium%20Synthetic%20Blend%20Motor%20Oil&category=Motor%20Oil Thanks to all for replying !!
