I'd prefer any aged dino SJ/SG/SH oil. Aged vintage dino oil will bring out the best flavor of the turkey without washing it away by modern day detergents. Also, these oils age well, have high flashpoints, and are more consistent in maintaining the same temperatures through out the fryer. At operating temp, these oil circulate well in the fryer giving a consistent cooking and browning of the turkey. It also reacts well with frozen turkeys. Happy T-Day!
I say 100 percent Marvel Mystery Oil. It has that hint of wintergreen. Then get some non detergent Wal Mart Accel oil and smother it while baking for a nice sludge glaze.

No, no, no. That new oil is flavorless. What you need to do, is get an old car with an oil burning sludger. Leave the dyno of your choice in it for 8,000 miles (12,000 miles for extra seasoning). Then you drain it straight from the oil pan to frying pot.
