I have a 2011 Silverado and want to wax it up before winter hits. I used NuFinish but I hate the residue it leaves if you get it on anything black. Any good suggestions?

Collinite 476/845. There are tons of options.collinite 476 for best durability for winter wax. Im going to try nufinish topped with collinite 845. Havent had staining issues with 845. Some people like the turtle wax ice synthetic..ive never tried it though.

Menzerna PowerLock. Goes it on and comes off really easily if you use clay or Nanoskin beforehand. Allow it to dry for 30-45 minutes prior to buffing off.

I think NuFinish is not an option for him

Collinite 845 or maybe Ice. Ice is easy to find and does not leave any residue on vinyl.

My Jeep is 1/3 vinyl or so it seem. NuFinish may last along time, but its a pain with vinyl.

I have thought of doing just the hood in NuFinish.

Lots of good sealants can make it for four months through winter. The trick is finding one at a reasonable price. I can vouch for Collinite 476 paste wax. It will definitely make it through, In fact, its kind of hard to take off even if you want to. Collinite is also very shiny all by itself. You can bling it up by spritzing it with Duragloss Aquawax after a wash. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that you have to mail order it most places.

The Duragloss combination (you add a hardner to the sealant) is reputedly tough as nails. Not too expensive. Duragloss is sometimes available at NAPA or Carquest.

I had luck with the Jetseal 109 product, but its kind of expensive (although easy to use). As I said, the trick isn't finding a good durable sealant, the trick is finding one at a good price.

I think that's Zaino you're thinking of with the ZFX hardener. Everything else you mentiond sounds like Duragloss though.

Nope. It's Duragloss. It's 105 w/601.

Blend 4 parts #105 to 1 part 601, Polish Bonding Agent for added durability and gloss. Accelerates the curing process for instant bonding. Apply within 2 hours after mixing for maximum results.

Oh gotcha. I remember reading that on their website recently. Just never thought of it has a hardener but I see what you mean. Or just use it the traditional way. Apply the 601, don't remove it and then apply the 105. Since I'm not sure how much liquid to pour out in a measuring cup. May result in wasted product. But worth a shot to try it out and see. DG is so nice to work with, they'd probably send you some more product if you ever spilled some.

Yeah, I do it the same way as you do. Agreed on DG's customer service. They are very helpful and always take care of their customers.
