What are you really, really, seriously afraid of?
My two biggies are getting bad news from or about my wife, and of being accused of something that I didn't do and being unable to prove it.
Not worried about snakes, bears, guns, communists, ghosts, much else except those two.

My biggest fear used to be that our politicians would spend us into Third World status..I no longer fear that bc its just gonna' happen. No point worrying.

Myt other fear was that our boarders would remain open to the extent that we would just be a Mexican Territory..See "Third World Status" above. I now also realize this is gonna' happen and again, no point in worrying about it.

My next real fear which I have started to address in light of the above is:

Spiders scare me. As for fear: Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to Hate. Hate leads to suffering. My little green friend told me so.

I could think of hundreds of things to fear, but one that really is a practical fear of mine is water. Not that I can't swim and that type of water does not bother me, but the water I want to stay in my pipes at home, not come through the walls, not come through the roof of my motorhome, etc. That is one of my biggest fears--water leaks. It really hasn't been a big problem, but the fear drives me to call a plumber for the simplest of things, even faucet washers. Ugggggh!

Several thoughts come to mind, unfortunatly.

A. My wife being raped, tortured, murdered, or otherwise caused great harm, and not being able to help her.
B. One of my dogs running away or getting hit by a car.
C. Getting caught in a cave-in of any kind.
D. Being trapped in a car or boat as it sinks beneath the waves.

Heights, the ocean and lightning. Weird thing is, I'm fascinated by all 3 bc I love weather, going up on top of the Empire State building and enjoy the beach....but at the same time, I fear all 3 at certain times.

Flying. I have not been in an airplane in 25 years. If I can't drive to it, I don't go. John Madden move over. Here comes Tony's travel trailer.

We all fear what we can't control. When you realize that you can calm yourself.

BTW Tony, Madden won't ride in an elevator when other people are on it. Just another example of fearing the absence of control.

Peace out to my peeps!

Buster, you ought to come on a storm chase with me. I snuggle right on up with the lightning trying to get pictures of it.
