What Do You Shave With?

Gillette Fusion Power with the battery hair lifter thing and Fusion Hydra Gel Tough Besrd, best shave ever. Skin condition improved out of sight once I moved away from electric shavers.

I use this

Well, I have a beard but shave my cheeks and throat every day, otherwise I start to look like a 'mountain man". That's why I shave.

The razor is a Gilette Atra. It was a free sample back in the '70s, aluminum handle, it has a nice heft to it. The soap is Williams cup soap applied with a boar's hair brush. I just like whipping up the lather, plus it's a neat and clean way to apply the soap.

What primarily dulls a blade are usually mineral deposits on the blade, especially along the edge. I don't see how cryo treatment would help prevent those deposits. Or maybe you have very soft water locally and get almost no deposits.

Hmm, I've recently started to clean my Atra double edge blades with a Q-tip (second use, I know, yuck) after shaving to help remove the build-up of wiskers from between the blades. I'd swear the blades are lasting longer. Connection there?

it would be a gentle cleaning action over shortened "cleaning" BCI. You'll see the most difference in the "rinse" BCI and you'll maintain clean blades by using a maintenance dose in every BCI.

I have a Philishave 555 that's about fifteen years old. It still works good. It sees only light duty work every three to four days.

Shouldn't those cold winters stimulate beard growth?

I'm lucky in that I didn't start shaving until I was 22 and at 32 I only shave once a week. I'm sure I will never hear the end of this but I use the girlfriend's Venus blades on my razor. I always cut myself with the mach 3 blades but the Venus shaves almost as close and I can go crazy with it when I'm running late and I never get cut.

Also don't use shave cream, just hot water in the shower.

Sort of a European thing. Strange when they get mixed ancestry.

How do you guys shave in the shower? I take it you use a mirror?

I shave after the shower. Put lotion on, hot water, then the Edge Gel and shave with the Gillette Trac II Plus very close to the mirror.

If you don't have any facial hair, what exactly needs shaving in the shower? A unibrow maybe? Or would that be facial hair?

I guess he's saying he doesn't sport any hairs....doesn't say he can't grow any!

Or maybe he could use a case of Nair!
