What do you like about the new board format?

1. Faster. Definitely faster.
2. Graphically is more pleasing.
3. Shout box is nifty.
4. Nice beat, easy to dance to. I give it a 'ten'.

5. And the edit function works!

It looks more like a news site or "real work" when someone passes by looking over my shoulder.

Maybe the viscosity chart should be a permanent corner feature, looks like stock tracker or something.

My only beef is not being able to search back more than a year...i've found a lot of helpful info that was more than a year old.

Other than that its great, ditto on the shout box being cool.

1. Agreed. USA Server - hangs much less (still does 1:50).
2. No way. Ugly like sin, but G-man gives hope!!

It seems to be to clutered, I don't think I care for it very much. The site is already to busy with all the threads...PCMO, HDEO, transission, gear oil, big car, small car, etc...

There are to many "stickys" too.

Other than that it's great!

Oh yeah and when you get the PM email it has the content (as in the really old days), unlike the last iteration......which was just a reminder, so now if it's just a PM from mori saying "screw you".....no need to bother opening the PM.

Boy, some folks are never satisfied... it is a free forum with minimal advertising...

I personally think it is much better in feel and speed. Then again, I understood how to use the search function, and as a mod, I had an edit button, so the old board was OK to me...

I can't help but think this post is pointed at me. But the topic of the post is a question about the new format and I gave my opinion because it was asked for. I thought the format used in 2003 was fine and this lastest one will be ok I guess. But there are so many sub-forums now on this site that it's getting hard to use.

Oh and the reply thing isn't to good either. You have to leave the entire post intact, you can't edit it to relect the portion you are trying to reply to.

That's what I wanted to ask. Impalassforum.com had been on UBB.Classic until the drive file for the site was 400% bigger than it was supposed to be. It'd crash all the time. A group of us finally convinced them for the price, VBulletin was the way to go.

Overall I like the forum, just hate the colors.
