Can’t speak to your experience but consider this: statistically you have a 300% greater chance of a vehicular fatality in your state of Florida compared to here in Ontario. Maybe you should cut us some slack with the assurance we’re less likely to make a bonehead move like your fellow brethren.

Death rate per 100 million VMT = 1.48 (2016 Florida)
Death rate per 100 million VKT = 0.31, adj. 0.49 (2016 Ontario)

My driving style: defensive yet assertive

I was driving the MATRIX last night and had a new Durango behind me. Roads were slick due to snow. So I was going a little slower than I normally drive. It was a 35 mph road and I was going 37-38 mph. He/she puts their high beams on me out of the blue so I show them my brake lights and the high beams instantly go off. Luckily we go in different directions at the next intersection.

Gran Turismo style or I am trying to get noticed to be in a upcoming fast and furious movie. My defense to caught speeding is Prima Facie. I wasnt speeding, only accelerated to allow oncoming traffic a lane but i can see how you thought I was creating an infraction.

I am more laid back. I live in Texas... going the speed limit means going a 5-10 miles above it, but I am usually following the speed limit.

If I am around a group of slowpokes, I usually try to either get away or change to the left lane and go past them.

Generally defensive and laid back inless extremely tailgated or stuck behind some jack wagon going 15 under the limit with a handicapped placard.

If you’re that bloody scared then stay off the road

Jings! That's worse than TAIWAN. (1.339, 2013). Surely some mistake?

Edit: No it isnt/wasnt, Florida was 1.288 in 2013. Apparently not heading in the right direction, though.

A hybrid driver that goes the speed limit? That's not very common!

No I'm a speeder on average. I coast extensively and take my sweet time with acceleration. In other words, I am not in a hurry to get to the red light

To quote Top Gear , which you shouldn't ever do, really:-

"Right let’s run through the opposition, shall we? The Germans all do a hundred and fifty on the Autobahn that far behind the car in front, the Italians are mad, the French can’t get to the greengrocers without crashing into a field, the Americans are belligerent, the Australians are drunk, and the rest of the world hasn’t got the hang of it yet."

(Series 19, Episode 5 "The News", watched on Youtube last night)

(UK was 0.578 in that 2013 report. Canada was 0.999)

Laid back when I'm in the Honda.

When the roads are cold I'm very laid back in the Corvette. When they are warm, I'm more normal to aggressive (but only aggressive in short bursts, this car has too much power to exercise it fully on the streets for longer periods of time)
