I will be in Oklahoma City in August and Chicago in September. I plan to take my grand daughter to Branson MO when she has time. She enjoys seeing Shoji and going to Culvers for custard. We will do a little shopping. I hate leaving my dogs because they act like I have punished them. I board them at their vets because if anything happens they will get immediate care.

We'll be spending a lot of time at the lake house. My wife is going Of Counsel at the end of the year, so she's beginning to shed some of her clients. We may drive over to the Amana Colonies once or twice as well.
We've seen as much of the world as we want, so nearly all of our vacation time will be spent either locally or at our lake home.

I'll be co driving my son's 83 BMW 5331 down to Winston Salem for a show Memorial Day weekend, then a tour up through the mountains. IIRC, the Tail of the Dragon is included.
iam retired. sleep, breakfast, nap, lunch, nap, supper, tv, sleep. dont call after 11:00 am.

Bend itself has so many beautiful areas nearby that I wouldn't think you would ever need to travel far to vacation. Lived in that area for two years....love Central Oregon.
Yes....Central Oregon (Bend)....is a recreational paradise, But...
Just need a change....and love the rugged beautiful coast. Need to get a little 'salt water' between my toes once in a while.

I've got a vacation booked for Orlando Florida for the last week of August for me, my fiancee, her two kids and my son. It's going to be a blast! Her kids have been there, but my son has never even been on a plane let alone on a real vacation like this. We have a 4 bedroom townhouse booked, so each child will have their own room (so hopefully this lessens the amount of fighting amongst them!)
Have to attend a wedding in North Texas (Plano).
Maybe spend a few extra days sight seeing the Dallas area.

White Mountains for a few weeks although working here and there while kids/wife enjoy lake.
Attempting "camping" at a nice state park with my 4 and 6 yr old girls. Wife is fine as long as they have a bathroom with outlet for her hairdryer.
My four year old is dying for a road trip. Last year was Montreal. I would love NYC but so expensive to stay.
