Anything exciting planned for the weekend?

I know some people will be on here talking about oil filters.

But I'll be hosting lots of friends for bbq. I have a great recipe for beans that I'm sure will go down well (let's hope down and not out), and may smoke some fish for the first time.

I've also got a real tough decision to make: Beer or Margarita.

Beer. I got two baseball games one on Saturday another on Sunday along with Church and a BBQ to attend on also. But there will be no alcoholic beverages. I rarely drink, I was going to change the oil in the pick up but I did that today and it was the most relaxing 10 minutes of the day.

Going to try to replace spark plugs 2 and 4 tomorrow. 1 and 3 were easy, these not so much. I have HVAC light bulbs to pick up at the subie dealership if I have time tomorrow. Sunday I will spend with my sister, nephew, and mother.
Not sure what we will do yet. Nephew is a little baby so we will find something fun for him.

I think beer will go better with beans btw.

Fishing the Walleye Opener on the St. Croix River.

It's on the border of Minnesota & Wisconsin.

Here fishy, fishy, fishy...

On the Subaru?
unbolt the washer bottle, unplug it and flip it on top of the engine, don't disconnect the hose.
A couple of long extensions and you can change them in about 2 minutes each.
I just did them on a 96 2.2 legacy awd auto under 10 min all 4.

Thanks, I will do that! Not much space on that side!

We'll spend some time Saturday afternoon with our therapy dogs at an assisted living center. Saturday evening my wife and I are going dancing. Sunday I need to mow and trim, then plant some of the tomato and cucumber plants that I've been growing. Sunday afternoon we'll go down to the trail and walk a few miles. Since it's the end of the month I have my consulting billing to fit in as well.

Tomorrow I'm sleeping in...probably won't get up until 7:00 (that's my idea of sleeping in...most days I'm up at 5:00). Three days in a row on the road and I'm feeling it at my age.

That's a good point. What style would you recommend?

I prefer German wheatbeer and Czech pilsners.

I think Guinness or maybe a lighter ale might work with the beans though.

On the other hand, when it's hot outside, the margarita's are very refreshing. It's the fresh lime juice that makes all the difference on that front.

How's the Kizashi working out for you?

I'm going on a day-trip with a buddy tommorow to an antique auto salvage yard about 3 hours from my place.

'Roblin's Garage' if anyone has heard of it....down in Prince Edward county, ON.......

German wheatbeer is what I'll be having this weekend. Got family flying in tonight and they like to drink.

The fridge is stocked with Weihenstephaner.

Zero plans.
Hopefully get out for an MTB ride (barring no major rain) and hopefully on Sunday I can give the car it's first real detail for the season (wax, clay bar, etc)

Next weekend will be birthday festivities for moi

I was going to go gold prospecting but I got offered a delivery job for Saturday morning. And since the delivery job most likely pays better than prospecting I took it. Should be interesting due to the fact that I have not driven a loaded truck in over 10 years!

In St. Louis for a couple of weeks. I'll be watching a Cards game. I'm not a big baseball fan, but it should be fun! Sunday, no idea.

Yes love that stuff. Whenever I am in Germany, I get to pull my own Franziskaner in the lounge at Frankfurt airport. Just what you need after going through 4 stages of security and walking a mile to return the rental car.
