What are you doing right now?

Just got home from work. Boy am I tired. Went into the day with 86 hours even. Ended with 101.6 so now I get the $450 bonus added to my check. I told my boss and dispatcher to load me up because no one was going to stop me from a free $450. Plus I had 3 tickets to finish from yesterday which totaled like 6 or 7 hours so there’s that too. Now that I’m flat rate I get all the high paying work lol.

You’ve got a right to feel tired! Enjoy your weekend. 😎

Today was an eventful day. I got dragged out of bed early because the wife's car has a flat tire and she needed to leave and drive 250 miles for work. I found a nail in the tire so had to zip over to the parts store as I could not find any plugs. I have new tires to mount on her car so I just need the plug to last till she gets back.

Then later I got a call that there was a leak in the roof by the fire place so I had to run around taking care of that. Then, to top it all off, I get home to find the mother of all backed up toilets. What a day.

You told them to load you up? Well, don't worry, they probably will. If they weren't profiting substantially more from your hard work than you are, they wouldn't bother. That $450 wasn't free; YOU EARNED IT. Don't let them tell you, or convince you, that it's free money. You earned every penny of that!

Don't let them load you up too much. Don't become one of those guys who take shortcuts and become hacks to beat the time.

Most importantly, don't let them burn you out and move on to the next.

Cheers! Have a great weekend! You've earned it! 🍻

Trying to decide if I really want to change the starter on the CRV--it's stopped cranking, cranks really slowly. Looks like an hour of work to get to the darn thing--remove radiator core support, remove intake manifold, lots of lines... real pain in the rear. And since it doesn't move... it is of course parked where the sun shines nice and bright.

I'm guessing I can do the work but I'm not sure how many tools are going to be thrown out into the woods--I don't do well in the sun.

What is your mill called? Or is this for feed? Very interesting, sorry for the curiosity
Riceland Foods. This rice is for human consumption. Riceland Gold is the parboiled brand you may see in the store. The lower grades of parboil do go into pet food. The car I loaded yesterday is for pet food. This location has 3 mills. Mill L, parboil, Mill J, clean white and brown, and Rivland our flour mill. The flour mill is a joint project with Riviana foods. Our Rice Bran after we get the oil out is used in animal feed. The hulls are used in nurserys and animal feed.

By the way ask away no problem.

Still on the fence. Don't feel like messing with the radiator core support to make space--have the intake manifold loose but not enough space to move out of the way to get to the starter. It's all packed nice and tightly.

Time to put on some sunblock, it's only going to get worse out there.

Edit: the starter at Advanced is over $300. Great...

At least the day started nice and cool. This is a non turbo? - shame on HONDA that you can't just pop out a starter on a little 4 banger, that is nuts! good luck. I hope the first stater you get will work. Usually go through at least one these days to get a functioning one.

... and sometimes it was a just bad wire contact

Got it out, finally. Snapped one bolt on the radiator core support, so... zip ties. Hopefully I can get all the hoses and plugs back in, they have 'em where you can't reach 'em. Poor design.

If I slap it it in and it still is bad... off to the mechanic. It's getting hot out there, even with a couple of short breaks I went through two t-shirts, dripped who knows how much sweat into the head, and may have lost my soul with some of my comments.
