What 1.5 million buys in Maryland Heights, MO- interesting

Looks like a brothel there before the community expanded around it. You know, the place you visit on the outskirts of town...now the town is grown around it. Also interesting mix of ceramic and asphalt shingles as well as a flat, sealed roof. Lots of half hearted attempts to fix it up. The veranda with the asphalt shingles on the roof looks like it was added after.

A white elephant. Big, ungainly, expensive to feed. The landscaping is pitiful. There are some nice features and lots of space, but the cost of upkeep and the cost to make everything in the property nice? crazy...It should be priced at about $450,000.

Interesting that Zillow doesn't tell you what it sold for in 2010...

Hard pass.

I'd be less worried about the ivy growing up the (exterior) walls, and more about this. Apparently, you missed the photo of the foliage growing *inside* of the house...

That's just the ivy coming in the window. Cut it down outside and this wont happen.

Depends on how many houses can be built on it and whether there's any demand for them.

That is kind of wacky, as the windows appear to be replacement windows by the uniform label on each window.
