The Captain's behavior was unbecoming and he did not display the level of professionalism that would be expected from his high post. This calls into question his judgment. It is appropriate to remove him from his post.

I think an impeachment is a questioning.

As for the video... it's... stupid! Must be inside humor.

Yes, an inpeachment is certainly a 'questioning' but he wasn't made to resign.
I'm sure that many who defended WJC (with quotes such as "It's his private life")
are all for firing Capt. Honors. It's really all about politics and the hypocrisy that goes with it.
It seems that it's OK to joke about certain Americans, (rednecks, Christians, etc...but others are off-limits).
I'll stop before I cause a lock but the double-standard is quite evident.

There's more to this story than shenanigans and videos. Most likely he's PO'd the wrong guy.

If there's not, he'll fight it. We may get the rest of the story some day.

Oh come on, don't take a "play the victim" mentality. There is NO group of people that has not been the subject of jokes and sattire. I've done it myself and been the subject of it. In most cases, I find that kind of humor funny, whichever side of the fence I'm on. But I don't do it in a work or professional environment. That's just common sense.

Was this the worst thing in the world? Of course not. There have been far more serious offenses committed by leaders of all types, the same is true of ex-Pres. Clinton. I'm not sure what kind of punishment, if any, is warranted here . The issue isn't who was the subject of the humor, its the poor judgement shown by someone in a position of power and authority. But to chalk this up to some type of "double standard" is a straw man argument.

His judgement is questioned, but there's a difference between having an affair between 2 adults vs making a video that laughs at everyone including people working for you.

In the business world, the first one didn't get you fired and the 2nd one does.

from what i've seen on the evening news, it is conduct unbecoming. very unprofessional! having fun while making war?

Why not. 'Victimization' is big business in America.

Secondly, when your 'work or professional environment' is a ship at sea for a year it's hard to seperate work from play.

Thirdly, When I speak of a double standard I'm referring to those of a certain political persuasion who judge the act based on the political persuasion of the actor rather than on the act. As far as it being OK to lampoon some groups- while others are off-limits-
I find it to be obvious.
