Anyone have info on the Super Tech Full synthetic 2 cycle oil? I came across it yesterday in the furthest corner of the store in the motor oil section.
Can't find it on the Walmart website or elsewhere.

Comes in a silver bottle, label states for use in air-cooled engines but no specs or even a TC-W3 rating.

$1.68 for 6.4 oz. as I recall, not bad for a full syn, no?

I've been using SuperTech TWC approved 2-cycle oil for years in my Lawn-Boy without issue. Can't use it in my Makita handled blower as its a four stroke.

The TC-W3 is spec for water cooled marine outboard engines, not the best choice for air cooled equipment such as chainsaws, etc.

Is this because air-cooled equipment runs hotter?

Saw this yesterday too. I still have a ton of Mobil 1 racing 2T oil to use though...

Well, I picked up some of the Super-Tech full synthetic 2 cycle oil today. Unfortunately the description is identical to S-T blue bottle air cooled 2 cycle oil.

As with most commonly available 2 cycle oils it has no API or JASO ratings other than TC-W3 marine versions, how do you know what you're really getting?

Super Tech is claiming Full Synthetic, not a blend

It specifically states for air cooled 2 cycle engines on the front and rear labels.

No, the TC-W3 oil are a separate product and clearly labeled as such.

However, I bet a lot of people just grab the TC-W3 for their air cooled trimmers and leaf blowers without realizing they're not using the proper oil.

looking for better than supertech fully synthetic 2 cycle oil in the 2.6 oz size for my carb'd chain saw. looking at maxima super M + wondering if its just "marketing" but it lists some possibly better additives, no info on supertech but contacting warren oil would prolly get an answer!
