Sitting here in NE SC, 2 hours NW, inland from Myrtle Beach. Have seen some wind and a little rain. Got everything ready, everything battened down, nothing else I can think of to do. Even made a new indoor extension cord out of (2) 25' sections of 12/2 Romex and a couple of 20 amp outlets. Plenty of gas and propane (portable generators), food, water, still have power and internet. I'm sure we will lose power over the next couple of days, (power feeds from NC) but worry more about the rain fall north of here and into NC. It will flow down to us and likely flood the Pee Dee River, about a mile or 2 away. I am 118 feet above sea level. Google Earth indicates that the river is 61 feet above sea level: probably OK. Thoughts are with all in Wilmington, Jacksonville, New Bern.
