When I put the computer to sleep, I get a blue screen warning and it completely shuts down. Upon start up, I get the following message:

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033

BCCode: a
BCP1: FFFFF8A00032E298
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: FFFFF800030B725B
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\060214-24819-01.dmp
C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-187154-0.sysdata.xml

Any ideas? I did a command system file checker and nothing came up. Right after I did it the PC went to sleep normally, but the next time the problem was still there.

Thanks.

Hmmm, not really sure here. When did it start doing this? Also does it do this in hibernate? I've never seen this happen, so I'm just asking questions that might help.

CD: It started a couple weeks ago. By hibernate do you mean sleep? It will do it if I walk away and it goes to sleep after 20 minutes if the keyboard and mouse aren't moved.

dparm: I'll look into that site.

OK: Homemade PC built last year. This is the first issue I've had.

Sleep and hibernate are two different settings. Hibernate shuts down the computer and saves what is open on the hard drive to reopen it when you turn the computer on again.

Did you install/change any hardware on the computer in the last few weeks?

Probably a driver. Did you install any new hardware like a printer or anything? Did you update any drivers like video, LAN...etc recently?

CD: Hmmm... When I click sleep, any windows/tabs I have open are there when I hit any keyboard/mouse button to wake it back up.

No hardware changes.

OK: no driver updates.

Just ran the nirsoft thing and this is what came up (just the top two lines):

Something to do with W7?

Something is crashing the kernel. Usually it is a driver.

That said, are there any BIOS updates available for your board? Driver updates available for your hardware?

I'll check.

Had another weird occurrence. The PC went to sleep, but instead of it waking up to a mouse/keyboard hit, I had to hit the power button. Woke up and everything as usual.
