You have to look at Euro oils. In terms of Walmart oils both Edge 5w40 and 0w40 carry the spec, as well as Mobil1 0w40, Pennzoil 5w40 and 0w40, etc. There are lots of 502 oils out there.

Virtually any "Euro" oil sold at Wally's will have VW 502 on it's approvals, with the exception of the Euro L Pennzoil product just discussed.

Only Pennzoil that was VW504.00/507.00 except 0W30 LX was old version of Pennzoil Ultra L 5W30.
I'm having issues attaching the document. It is 24 pages.
After researching:
2019 - Platinum Euro Low SAPS 5w30 (which I believe is Platinum Euro L) - 502.00 / 505.00
2020 - Platinum Euro 5w30 (Which I believe is not the low SAPS)
So apparently if the L was approved in 2019 it isn't now.
I'm not sure we can trust the VWoA Tech Bulletin. The 2019 dated one shows "Castrol Edge 5w30" as 504.00 / 507.00. That doesn't seem possible.
The VW 504s are all 30 grades, so it might be. Likely a different version than the Euro sold at Walmart now. You see that in other brands, Mobil it's ESP and Valvoline XLS-III even though they make other Euro 30 grades.
The factory fill in the 2015 Diesel's was Castrol Edge LL-03 5W30 504/507 approved. Not available anywhere except mail order and the dealer. Still hard to find any brand 504/507 on any retailer shelves except NAPA in my roaming's. I make a point of looking for it as it is my newest one size fits all oil.

Euro L was never VW502.00. It would not be able to be approved for BMW LL01 and MB229.51. That oil is available in current formulation some 5 years, and I have never seen bottle or any official document stating VW 502.00. VW 502.00 is NOT low SAPS oil.
VW 502.00 does not preclude low (or mid) SAPS and and any oil with a combined VW 502.00 / 505.01 approval must be low SAPS / C3 as that is a requirement of the VW 505.01. I agree that the majority of VW 502.00 oils are full SAPS ACEA A3/B4 but there are quite a few low SAPS oils that meet ACEA C3; examples that I've used in the past are Fuchs GT1 Proflex 5w30, Total Quartz Ineo MC3 5w30 and Valvoline Synpower MST 5w30.
There is something a bit odd with the latest VW approved list from March 2020. There are now three separate approval lists for combinations of 502.00 / 505.00 / 505.01 as below. (original file names from VW used). And some of the oils that were previously VW 502.00 approved, like the ones I stated above, are now only in the 505.00 / 505.01 list.
I don't recall a low saps oil that was VW 502. The recently discontinued Valvoline MST was mid saps and it was VW502 among other things.
That's correct - I used "low SAPS" generically to include low and mid SAPS as ACEA do in the title the Cx category oil sequences.

VW 502.00 that had C3 were all Mid-SAPS. I have never, ever seen VW 502.00 to be Low-SAPS oil.

OK, I agree with that. Yes, there re a lot of C3 oils that have VW502.00. But, not Pennzoil Platinum Euro L. It never had, unless they added in last few months and they still did not change PDS or bottling. Euro 5W40 went through change in May, so maybe in coming months. But before, no.
I just purchased a 5 gallon pail from Suncoast Resources out of Houston. They have a local distributor so I didn’t have to pay shipping.
It was $28.33 per gallon.
