The connecting rod broke on cylinder 3 I believe, due to hydrolock. I have not taken it apart yet so this is just speculation. But if the connecting rod is in fact broken, Is it very likely that there is damage to the head, piston or cylinder wall?

The engine was knocking and then it shut down. I really think it broke. Cylinder 3 spark plug is destroyed.

Thanks for the video. That is what it sounded like. Just a slower paced knock. The car was driven in that condition at which point it shut down. Is it possible that there was damage to the head or cylinder wall?

There was corrosion on the coolant port of cylinder 1 causing coolant to leak in to the cylinder. This happened 3 weeks ago. So the head was changed and it drove great for 3 weeks until now. I am guessing that the left over coolant from the previous head caused it to hydrolock. I did do a 150 mile oil change afterwords.

Also: The cylinder with the destroyed spark plug is not he same cylinder that had the corrosion on the coolant port.
