Hey Folks,

Was wondering if there are other virgin OA resources besides the PQIA?

They have some pretty great information grouped by oil viscosity here:
https://pqiablog.com/2016-motor-oil-samples-side-by-side-via-viscosity-grade/

However, they haven't updated their charts (as I can tell) since 2016 and have a limited test selection of 0w-20 oils.

You can crawl through the site and find individual or small batch tests (usually 1-4 at a time), but I'm looking for other resources as well.

Thanks all!

One big issue is that many oils were reformulated for the dexos1 Gen 2 standard that went "live" in September 2017, so older VOAs might not be very useful.

I used to look at analyses on the Russian Oil Club (ROC) website fairly often, they had a great many interesting oils on there...I have to admit that I haven't visited that site in a couple of years due to concerns about malware.

bullwinkle: Thank you, I've utilized both methods--was looking for a chart of sorts, like the ones found on PQIA.

VP: Thank you, I reached out to PQIA for updates--will report back if I have more info to share.

Well, I can't edit my original post--I wanted to add the 2017 data to it.

I appreciate the tactful cues on using search strings and methods, but I get it.

krismoriah72--Thank you!

For everyone to enjoy--for those that like being able to cross reference without generating their own spreadsheets.

From PQIA for 2017

Castrol's NOACK is 2% higher than M1 and Pennzoil for 0W-20 while being more expensive with no rebate option. Color me un-surprised.

And Amazon (Warren) beats them all!
