Thanks for posting this Mrsilv04.

In Canada, today is the equivalent - called "Rememberance Day". It is well worth remembering and appreciating the sacrifices of those who have fought and those fighting for freedom around the world.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Veterans Day is special in that we remember those who serve or have served and lived to reap the reward of their efforts.

Memorial Day is special in that we remember those who served and gave their lives so that others may reap the rewards of their efforts.

Now I get to send out another series of emails. The Marine Corps birthday required a couple. I'm glad some of our membership are at periscope depth to keep those of us more submerged up to date.

I went to the Australian War Memorial (a must see for visitors to Oz) for Remembrance Day celebrations yesterday. Big crowds and lots of emotion. Ironically also the closing day for Canberra's one and only RSL Club (Returned and Services League.

Indeed. We have a country, and it's freedoms, only because of them.

I know it's late, but I had an opportunity to march in a Veteran's Day parade yesterday but was unable due to this staph infection. I am thankful to all those that serve proudly and that have served and sacrificed before me.
