A couple of days ago I saw a '64 full-size Chev stopped at a red light. Four-door sedan, black or dark blue, very basic and very clean. The light turned and the Chevy lurched away, and I thought "standard transmission". Sure enough, as the car cleared the intersection, the 20ish male driver did the characteristic 'up-forward-up' 1-2 shift of the three-on-the-tree transmission. I was not surprised to see four taillights (Biscayne or Bel Air) rather than six (Impala).
It was funny, because a friend had just put me onto the Uni-watch website, I'd checked it out for the first time, and tney'd shown a gorgeous '63 Chev in front of the skeleton of the under-construction Astrodome.
This morning I saw a parked Morris Minor 1000000 in absolutely minty condition. There was a small plaque on the dash which said that this car was an exact replica of the one millionth Morris Minor produced.
I need to remember to carry my camera around.
