Does anyone know where I can find this oil? I can find the synpower 5w30 everywhere but have not seen the 5w-40 yet. I have checked all the local Wal-Mart's and also a few local parts stores. Anyone seen it anywhere?

Ok, NAPA is the one place I haven't looked yet actually. How good of quality is this oil as compared to like Mobil 1 TDT 5w-40? I'm looking to go to a 5w-40 instead of 5w30 in my 2003 silverado due to higher mileage.

Some NAPA's have it. I have yet to see a NAPA with in 60 miles of me that has it!If you do find it NAPA will more then likely want too much for it!In fact I not seen it on a shelf any place in MIchigan retail!

Order it on Amazon.com. They have cases of 6 quarts for $44.95 with free shipping (no tax, either!). Just search on Amazon for "Valvoline Synpower MST 5W-40". Make sure it's the "VV966" code number. It's probably going to be my next oil for my VW TDI, since it meets the VW 505.01 requirement. Good stuff.

That's a bit expensive. NAPA has it for under $6/quart, although at that price, I think I'd rather have GC. :)

I know it's kind of pricey on Amazon, but I've never seen it in any auto parts store. The NAPA stores in my area do not carry it. However, if one NAPA carries it, couldn't they have it shipped to any store?

I don't know, but most (if not all) NAPA stores will order it for you, even if they typically don't stock it.
