As a side note, Castrol "Edge with Syntec" is now on the shelf at Walmart, 10w30. Its API SN so it is a new formulation.

I almost bought it, i eard good things about "Edge" and its SN, actually never than Edge's SM.

I would have snapped a photo but i decided to stick with hi-mi oil, and go 10W-40.

I almost, ALMOST bought the Castrol "Syntec with Edge" 10w30 SN. It was tempting. It was a tough decision, as im sure it would work as well in my car as the hi-mi 10W-40.

Walmart, this morning.

Looks like Max Life is getting hard to find especially in the 10W30 grade. Went to two Wally Worlds and they didn't have it. Went to a third and they had four 5qt. jugs left so I grabbed two of them. Still at the rollback price of $13.50. Such a deal for the syn-blend!

Nope, that is one of the top higher mileage oils for the cheap.

PYB or Mobil Conventional are other top choices. Motorcraft blend is probably my favorite cheap non HM/non synthetic.

Check out this post for conventional info from PQI

PYB is a great cleaning oil, Mobil has a high TBN
