My dad has been running the blend but wants to switch it to the full synthetic, none of the parts stores around here stock it. Should I just ask and see if they can order it in?
I've never even seen a bottle of that stuff in Canada.. Just the blend or conventional, whatever it is.. Never the full syn maxlife.. Would try it if I could find it!

Same here. No Luck anywhere, not even at walmart. Can't find any parts stores carrying Maxlife Normal. Just walmart carries normal Maxlife.
You can also purchase it from any Valvoline Instant Oil Change if there are any in your area. Usually the walmarts carry it and I have found it in some O'reilly's/Kragen locations.
Full syn Maxlife is now missing the European specs that it used to have so I have quit looking for it around here or when out of town. Probably very similar to the regular blend stuff now, except all group III base oil in the full-syn instead of just partially group III (Maxlife blend).
SLCraig. Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic was available
at Canadian Tire a few years ago. I bought five 4.4 L
jugs back then. I'm using it now in my BMW and have
used it in a 2005 Pontiac Pursuit (G5) with the 2.2L
ecotec. I don't know why they stopped selling it. I
thought it was great to have another Euro A3 rated oil
that met BMW's LL-01 spec. I think it's a great oil and
now it's gone.
