Valvoline max life synthetic & castrol syntec -wallyworld clearance

At my local wallyworld I can get 5-quart jugs of valvoline max life synthetic 10/30 or castrol syntec 10/40 for $15. a jug. ($3. a quart.)

Does anyone have any info about the Max life syn.?
This oil would be for a 91 Miata and a 90 corolla.
I was going just use Mobil 1 10/30 like usual, but I thought these prices were pretty good.
Any suggestions?

Castrol Syntec at $3 qt is too good to pass up. look at the UOA they are worth $3.

Amen! American Syntec is a very good dino oil, and $3/qt is exactly what the regular price should be. I bet if they made this their standard price, we would view them like Rotella-T syn, and noone would have as big a problem with them.
