I had an '08 CR-V, the valve adjustment is not difficult. Seems to me the cross brace across the engine made it a tight squeeze to get the valve cover off, but that was it. At 100,000 I had one slightly loose exhaust valve, all the others were OK. Ditto on the angled feeler gauges if you can find them. I cheated and bent my straight feeler gauge. Watch out for the seals around the spark plug tubes; make sure they don't get folded over when you put the valve cover back on. My valve cover gasket was still pliable so I took a chance and re-used it, no leaks.
