My last UOA was from a MotorCraft 5W-20 fill. I decided to give the SynPower that I got from AAP's sale a try.

Air Filter - K&N drop in
Oil filter - Napa Gold

Half way through the interval, I added a 3oz maintenance dose of Auto-RX. I also added a dose of Lucas UCL on three consecutive petrol fills toward the end of the oil change. I was worried I might see a higher silicon count after changing from a paper filter to the K&N but it looks good. My current fill is Amsoil 5w-20 XL. I'm not a total baby on this ride either. I am running with a custom tune. Thoughts?

Looks like you have an excellent engine for this limited amount of milage. I would think long life with almost any oil. Aluminum is the only wear metal that is just a little higher than one would like but not by much. I would think 5000-6000 miles on any good synthetic would still show excellent results.

Looks great. I bought a bunch of the synpower too when it was BOGO. Usually engines see higher wear numbers for the first 15k or so but yours looks good to go.

I am still learning about all this, is it agreed upon that the synpower sheared down to a high 20 weight within the 3200 miles?

Is that a good showing for that? Obviously there is more to it than just an oil shearing down a grade. Assume if still shows good wear numbers than all is well for the most part??

I had an 06 sel v6 fusion with 48K that I traded in for my 08 corolla, was 4K into a run of amsoil 0W20 that I wanted to do a uoa on when I hit 10K on it. I certainly do miss the V6 power.
