just a heads up to NOT forget about it.
I just got back from the grocery store, and two women were [censored] about men (gee, i've never heard that before). one was whining because her hubby bought her some expensive earrings last year, but not the ones she wanted. IOW, her hubby couldn't read her mind.anyway, the [censored] session gave me a good laugh.
again, DON'T forget, or you'll never hear the end of it. ever.take care, guys.

Weekend at The Abbey Resort in Wisconsin already booked. I'm not a fan of V day but it'll be nice to get away for a couple days.

yes, you are correct.(good luck with that.)
guys don't care about this, as it's all about the women. doing something nice for your woman shows her that you care, or, in some cases, makes her think that you care. so, it's worth the effort.
I hope that 'prone chimes in. i'll bet that he has something "different" planned for the wife.

I'm probably not the intended audience for this thread (and I openly acknowledge this), but I have to ask you guys: What are you getting out of the deal?

I am single with no intentions on ever getting married because I see the obvious bias and I enjoy life on my terms. You don't do something "right" and they act all crazy, but yet they do something utterly and completely wrong or stupid and it's supposed to be accepted. Not a fan of double standards at all and Valentine's Day is the epitome of double standards.

To the OP: Not trying to take a shot at you or anyone in this thread, but I just don't get it.

you're not taking any shot -- you're just being honest.the key is to find one that is not too "crazy".find the right one, and life is good.as said earlier, this is all about the woman.from time to time, a guy has to go the extra mile to stroke the woman's vanity.some small gift-giving is petty in nature, but it keeps the women happy.all in all, it's not a big deal.

My wife is probably more emotionally stable than me. She will be happy with whatever i give her, and there is a decent chance she will forget the holiday altogether. No worries here about whatever i do.

This. Most women I have ever been involved with, if they screw up it's "oops, oh well" but every move I make is analyzed and criticized. Selfishness.

ha ha ha ha ha! Yeah we do this so the wifes can tinker on our hot rods instead of us doing it ourselves! Way more fun that way.
