I've known guys with this exact truck/engine/drivetrain and they liked the power and economy of this newer DI V6. Their only complaint was the feeling when the cylinder deactivation kicks in. One guy I work with hated that so much he traded the truck in.
I hate the feeling of the cylinder deactivation kicking in/out on my 2019 Ram classic with hemi, but one push on a steering wheel button and it's off for the trip if it bugs me enough. Other than that, I'm happy to have it when I want it.
