Using single grade for topoff or frankenmix..

I have a couple quarts of Maxlife 30wt single grade laying around in my stash. Would it be okay to use these for topoff or as part as a frankenmix with some synth blend or straight dino?

I top off quite a bit with 30 wt in engines that call for 10w30 or 5w30. It's a little on the thick side but that doesn't bother me at all.

Coming into winter, not sure I'd do that, unless you're mixing with a 5w30 or 0w30 syn.....

I agree. I wouldn't hesitate in the summer though.

not now, wait till the summer, then add to your heart's content.
Or in the spring, when it gets warm, change the oil with mix 50:50 5w30 and straight 30W. It is very important to know when to run which Frankenmix!!!
