A customer brought this in as a trade on a yellow 2003 Monte Carlo SS. He was a body shop tech by trade. Retired now.
The Curren is on dealer auction, running overnight. About 100,000 miles on it.
According to the customer, this is the only one in North America.
FWD, 4 cylinder.

Yellow Monte Carlo. :ROFLMAO:
As odd as the final generation of Monte Carlo looks, may as well go all in I guess.

The SS actually has something of a following since they offered the supercharged 3.8 and then the FWD 5.3 V8. A friend of mine had a V8 SS and it was actually kind of a nice car, though it was only a few years old when he had it. He went with red.

Apparently the Curren is a Celica with styling changes that exists due to the weird Japanese dealer network (different groups of stores). Might be worth less than a similar condition Celica here, but that's assuming you could find a similar condition Celica for sale. RHD would be hard for me to get used to.

They traded that in for a Monte Carlo? Major downgrade.
It would be different, with double the displacement and torque. I think that gen of Monte Carlo is kind of the automotive equivalent to pit viper sunglasses. Looks the right amount of stupid? Atleast its a solid car underneath.

Meh, I disagree. Good power but trash vehicle.
