An impact gun removes a lot of this stuff without much effort on your part. And a hacksaw or Dremel can be of some use in cutting off frozen nuts when PB Blaster can't penetrate far enough.

I used Honda parts from a discount website. Ride is back to brand new, they did it right.
Ironically, when leaving Pep Boys, the Check Engine light came on. Never been on before. I returned and they scanned it for free and it threw P0325, Knock sensor. Erased it, and it came back on again shortly. I just ordered a new one from Honda dealer down the street, and I'll put it in tomorrow. I think it probably is failing due to it not being driven every day like it normally is over the past week while sitting at the shop. And it's got 126k on it now.

I've wound up having to use a nut splitter a few times on simple things such as shock absorber nuts. The only ones I couldn't get were the ones on my S-10 which were recessed down low and after rounding them off using "conventional" means, the nut splitter wouldn't reach them anyway so I just kept driving on the old shocks.

If you haven't seen it yet, try this helpful link from the rice rocket community... You don't have to install lowering springs to use the DIY, however. Note the part about the secret compartment in the back that makes getting those [censored] rear shocks out a whole lot easier.
