Learn something new everyday. It looked clean to me, but I guess not clean enough. I'm used to galvanized trailers, not aluminum I beam.
 
Get some alox and use that on the joints to cut down on corrosion. I believe I got mine from Home Depot. Use it just like dielectric grease.
 
Put these on wherever there is a grounding connection. They helped immensely with my trailer because they dig into the metal...
