Toyota GR86 vs ' Forester XT MPG

Took an 8 mile drive with each. Same speed same route. 50 mph
Indicated mileage (2 mpg optimistic on both vehicles). GR86= 36.5 mpg XT 33.9. Really at that short trim they are both about the same.

I made to keep the XT FA20 Turbo inactive. of course the GR86 FA24 engine is just a bored out FA20. I have 40 wt. oil in both. the 40 wt. is costing me about 1 mpg in the GR86.

off topic, for which i apologize, but...
how do you like the GR86?
my buddy's little brother bought one when he first got out of the Army about 2 years ago... within the first year he traded it for a Kia Stinger...
