Came across various aftermarket bulk versions of 04152-YZZA1 on Amazon. They have good reviews, and
the construction looks good. Just wanted to check if anyone used these before or has experience with them. Thanks.

I don't think they're claiming to be Original Toyota filters. The OEM Toyota filter is made in Thailand according to the packaging. These are aftermarket filters from China I'm guessing. They come out to under $2 a filter when bought in bulk. From what I'm reading on the forum here, it seems most filters out of China, Korea, and Vietnam seem to be better constructed than the current USA and Mexico made filters.

Add timing belt kits to that list. Even Rock Auto sells seconds, scratch and dent etc. I’m very careful what I buy from them.
I’ve decided to only buy items from certain places at this point. I’ll only buy oil and filters from Walmart and only in person where I can inspect the items first. Clearly Amazon and Walmart Online are not being selective with their suppliers. Any of my repair parts will be from the dealership or auto parts stores like NAPA, Autozone, etc moving forward.

I’ve had good luck with Summit Racing. I called them and they buy direct from the manufacturers and own their stock and warehouses. Or it’s direct ship from the manufacturer.

I received a counterfeit Aisin timing belt kit from Rock Auto. Many dented oil filters etc.
That sucks. I thought they were a reliable source. Thank you for sharing this cautionary tale. I will look elsewhere for my next TB kit. Who sells genuine aisin kits for a good value?

EDIT: Sorry, @Glenda W. I just saw your recommendation for Summit racing. I've ordered from them before. Thanks.

I think it’s hit or miss. Some claim it was a counterfeit return and the scammers kept the genuine. But who knows? I returned it and bought from Summit.

Toyota/Denso are among the most counterfeited parts sold on places like Amazon or Ebay.

Do yourself a favor and buy directly from the dealer, parts store or Walmart. I personally get mine at Walmart.

They sometimes fake the boxes down to the last detail too. Get something authentic from an authorized retailer. I bought some injectors that had every detail like oe including the box. Made in Japan and the hologram, everything . The ohms were out of spec, got my money back. They disappeared after, probably started again under a new name.

Right.. The seller is not claiming they are OEM.. they even put the brand in the description so it is just some generic mfg but looks pretty good with a lot of good reviews from picky do it yourself type. For that low price and with a 30 day refund/return you might just go ahead and check them out and do a review here.

When I had my Toyota Tundra and Prius, I used a few Chinese special no name open element oil filters. Doing just 5K OCI's, found the resin ring ends would crack.

I did receive a genuine SKF wheel bearing which was nice.
Can I ask how you identified it as counterfeit? I got a TKH 002 belt from Rock Auto I’m procrastinating putting on my Accord V6.
