TOP TIER gas : Additives matter ...

I used to say doesn't matter that much, especially with direct injection. A gasoline retailer told me it does matter, and explained branded/unbranded/top tier. Since Costco went Top Tier over 9 years ago, whether it matters or not, it's what's for dinner :)

I wish Wawa would go top tier. There are so many in my area it would make it easy. I use Costco as much as is practical instead…

Same here, wish Wawa would go TT. I stop in once or twice a week for other things. I try to fill up at the Shell station on my way to work.

Wawa is classic non branded gasoline.

If it hasn’t changed, their super is 92, not 93. Sure cars only need 91 when they need super, but provide 93 like everyone else!

Wawa story in Clifton Heights PA 20+ years ago.

Some dude cuts when I was waiting for a pump. So I get out, and approach the guy’s car. He gets out and is about 6’8” tall.

“You got a problem?’”

Me: “Nope.” As I return to my car and patiently wait for another pump.

I’m not stupid! 😂

Hey guys it's always a good idea if you can't find top tier fuel ⛽ to go somewhere that fuel is regularly replenished and keep a bottle of a quality fuel cleaner with pea to microdose to maintain a healthy detergent level. I regularly use Redline, but then again I use their CVT Fluid and top off the M1 oil with RL but any pea should do.

The only reasons to go to Wawa are: get some soft pretzels, their chili mac, Wawa brand Iced Tea bottles, and around thanksgiving, their thanksgiving dinner hoagie

Knowing what was explained to me re: branded and unbranded gasoline, I would not buy Wawa gas.

My discussion with a retailer started by me saying, "But I see the same tanker pulling into different gas stations, shell, wawa, mobil, Costco, Goodman Lines, Island, etc." Retailer explained not the same. May be the same company, but not the same delivery....

I messed up this year and had every intention of going a few times for Hoagiefest. But it ended before I did.

We are seeing fewer TT stations in the area, Circle K and Wawa. I use Sam's and BJ's but would be fine spending a couple of cents more for Costco quality if available.

A year or two ago the BP in my area had a sign stating they were no longer participation in Top Tier but their fuels addivitives exceed top tier?

If they exceeded Top Tier then why not continue carrying the Top Tier labelling?

Business decision to save a few bucks; they don't give the Top Tier labels out.
There is so much fakeness today.

When I was a kid in high school, I was inducted into the NHS.

Today, I see bumper stickers, “My kid is a NSHSS student.” Whatever, my boss got promoted to ICON (in charge of nothing).

Letters and acronyms are the way to go

Yup additives do matter! With shell 87 I always got a out 207 miles too near empty. Sunoco 207-214. Citgo about 217.mobil 87 247-254 miles. Mobil gas that synergy. It works! I use Lucas ucl too every tank. Phillips 66 I get about 217.
Citgo is twice detergency Sunoco the same as shell. Mobil is twice but synergy . Phillips is 3 times detergency
