Toothpaste and Engine Oil

As I was getting ready for work this morning, I was thinking about this:

We spend tons of time researching automotive oils down to the most minute of details, sometimes for no real reason other than the fun of it. Which is cool, it is fun.

Does anyone do this for toothpaste or anything else that important? I don't, but I'd throw my engine in a lake in a heartbeat if it meant keeping my teeth longer/in good condition.

What do you think?

All the name brands with fluoride. I use Crest Pro Health.
Crest is good. I used Colgate Total most of my life but I kept getting cavities even though I'm pretty good about brushing my teeth. Switched to Crest a few years ago and no more cavities. Not sure if it's coincidence or not since they should all be equally effective, but I'm sticking with it anyways

Judging by my Googling, there are no toothpaste communities. Which is predictable, but odd considering the enthusiasm other products have (BITOG), which is have the same relative complexity (oil lubricates. Some oils lubricate better. Some oil is cheaper) It's all just a shower thought I guess

I asked my dentist, if the paste has fluoride in it, that's all you need he said. That was 25 years ago though
About 15 years ago I switched to fluoride free toothpaste. I used to have at least one cavity every 6 to 12 that needed to be filled with the commercially available fluoride toothpaste but haven't had a single cavity since switching to fluoride free.

Individual results may vary so I am not advocating to go against prevailing dental advice.

Isn't that the truth about different "communities". I'm getting ready to repaint kitchen cabinets and there are several DIY and pro communities for this. My coworker has a community for his Ryobi table saw, LOL. Most are OCD level like BITOG.

I would guess cavities are a genetic thing.

I have tried every toothpaste that is available at stores, and some boutique brands like Amway's Glister, etc... After trying literally everything I could get my hands on, I have yet to find a toothpaste that is better than Atomy. Switched my whole family to it and many friends, none wish to go back to any other brands. Worth. Every. Penny.
No, I'm not affiliated with Atomy in any way. I am with Amway though :)
